Meet Dr. Sofia Becerra
Dr. Sofia grew up in Puerto Rico, raised in a close-knit family where hard work and caring for others weren’t just values, they were a way of life. Those roots shaped the kind of chiropractor she became: someone who listens carefully, treats each patient as an individual, and genuinely invests in their long-term well-being.
Education and Training
Dr. Sofia earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, one of the most respected programs in the profession. A standout chapter of her education was her internship at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, a Department of Defense facility in Virginia.
There, she provided hands-on care to active-duty service members and their families in a fast-paced clinical setting. “It was incredibly rewarding to help the military community maintain their health, improve mobility, and manage pain, knowing that the care I provided directly supported their ability to serve and thrive.”
That experience deepened her commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care and set the tone for the practitioner she is today.
Her Approach to Care
Dr. Sofia believes that the best outcomes happen when patients understand their own bodies. She focuses on education alongside treatment, giving patients the tools they need to maintain their health well beyond the adjusting table. New patients often remark on how calm and approachable she is, and she takes that as the highest compliment. At Midtown Clinic of Chiropractic, she provides personalized, compassionate care that meets each person where they are.
